Committed to wellness

At Kingswood, we’re so committed to the wellness of our residents that we have a full-time Fitness Coordinator on staff to help you stay active and reach your wellness goals. Our Fitness Coordinator is a certified personal trainer and group fitness instructor who has 5+ years of experience working with the older adult population. Kingswood has its very own Fitness Center that is equipped with strength training machines and cardio equipment tailored to the specific needs of older adults, making it a fun and vibrant place to exercise. In addition to the Fitness Center and daily group exercise classes offered, our Fitness Coordinator leads specialized exercise and holistic wellness programs that are personalized to the residents living here.

“I have always walked and kept active, so I had not given much thought to adding a balance class to my routine. However, some of my Kingswood friends invited me to attend, with lunch after. Lunch was a great incentive! Once I began Claire’s class, I realized my balance wasn’t what it used to be. I had become accustomed to getting off balance when putting on slacks or drying my legs off after a shower and needing to sit or hold on to something for support. Now, after several months of practicing balance techniques both in her chair class and aqua class, I find I have a much stronger core, and don’t become unbalanced while stepping into my jeans or drying off one leg. Getting older doesn’t necessarily mean a constant decline in abilities. I’m so thankful for the professional guidance that Claire has provided through my Kingswood Community.”
